About Pirates
GAME CONCEPT:
INTRODUCTION:
Pirates are passing through in the ocean for a secret treasure the evil ships shouldn’t reach that sacred place, so we need to allow the ally ship and shoot down the enemy (evil) ship.
GENRE:
This game belongs to 2D Shooting Side Scrolling.
GAME MECHANICS:
GAME PLAY:
The player has to control our white ship using key ‘4’ to move left ,`2’ to move up ,`8 to move the ship down, ‘6’ to move right and `5’ to shoot the enemy ships. The player needs to shoot the enemy ships (RED) and shouldn’t shoot ally ships (BLUE). If the player shoots enemy ships he will gain 10 points and he will lose points when he shoots ally ships. The main aim to score 100 points and the player shouldn’t reach the score by less than 0.
AI:
The enemy and ally ships are AI here. The blue and red ships will be constantly coming from right to left in the random positions. And the level is not certain whenever the player runs the game the AI positioning will be different this make the replay ability in the game. The x and y position both got shuffled using random function.
Bullets:
For bullets I made one sprite arrow of 5. If the bullets reach the screen end or if it get collided with the any other ships, the position of the ships will be reassigned to our white ship. And when we shoot again the same bullet will come from the white ship. This is the logic I used here for the white ship.
MOVEMENT:
The player movement is determined using the keypad for the Java enabled phone. There would be an additional implementation of touch and drag in next release of the game. Now in this game my controls are default ones (4, 2, 6, 8 and 5).

HEADS ON DISPLAY:
The HUD mainly encompasses the,
SCORE:
Score of the player has been displayed in the right side of the corner since the winning and losing condition is depends on it. Score will be updated by each and every second.
MARKETING:
TARGET PLATFORM : Java based mobile phone.
TARGET AUDIENCE : E- Everyone (from age 6 and above).
TARGET MARKET:
The most using mobile is NOKIA and Sony Ericsson, so I made my game to support in a specific resolution mobiles in the wide range. The game which I made is supported by Java MIDP 2.0 which has the resolution of 240 X 320. So I mainly concentrated on kids and time passing game since it is a mobile game.
